Road Trip !!!

Last Christmas, we drove from NJ down to Florida for vacation.
It is one of the things that Jieh really likes about the US -- Road Trips !

We started at 5:00am, passed Washington DC, and stopped by the Borders in the town of Stafford VA. for some snacks and a cuppa. This was a cold winter and there was snow on the ground right through North Carolina as we drove south
.
More stops along the way in places like Wilson N.C, Smithfield N.C (for gas), Santee S.C ( thai dinner), St. George S.C ( zzz ), Kingsland GA, until we reached Daytona Beach FL the next day, right around lunch time.




















Since cars are allowed onto the beach at Daytona ( way to go, USA ! ) We gave our trusty car a pat and roared onto the sand. Its fun to harass seagulls and yell from the moon roof.













Our destination however, wasn't Daytona, but that most feared of asylums - Disneyworld...!!!




Seriously though, crowded though it was, it wasn't that bad.

2nd trip this year, Sydney skiing.



Audrey's first trip on a chair lift for the bunny slope.


Jieh returned to the lodge during lunchtime to find Audrey already dressed
and ready to accompany him to 'the mountain top'
She is captivated by Sydney's accounts of what is up there, with places called "Blue Mountain" ( a trail name ) and "Underwear tree" ( a tree that has said items strewn all over it )
Since she will not take 'no' for an answer, Jieh actually took her with him and pretty much carried her down all the way, taking a few shots along the way.
